The Dark Knight Rises(2012)- User Reviews

I generally liked the movie, but it doesn't measure up to The Dark Night. For me, the movie should have been titled, "Gotham City Rises," because somehow Batman got lost in the shuffle, and was merely one of many who overcame the odds. Comic book movies only work if they can be believable on some level, but this movie was not believable on any level. I like the realism of an injured and aging Batman -- but the entire idea was contradicted when an already-injured Bruce Wayne has his back broken, recovers in a dungeon-like prison, and then escapes -- only to put on the Batman costume as if he never took it off. 6 out of 10.
