What happened to Batman’s green-jockeys-wearing sidekick Robin? Why haven’t we seen The Boy Wonder in any of the Nolan-helmed Batman flicks? Perhaps Bale’s tongue-in-cheek 2008 quote might have something to do with it: "If Robin crops up in one of the new Batman films, I'll be chaining myself up somewhere and refusing to go to work." Whatever the reason, Robin didn’t make the cut in this film either.
