It may not have had the fastest pace, but I really think this was a very good film.
The acting was splendid, the characters lovable and quirky, and "Don't tell," created the perfect tense atmosphere.
Pretty much all of the remotely funny …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

One must wonder the kind of audience that director Wes Anderson is trying to play to. His films are too financed to be considered independent. They’re too stylized to be called raw. They are simply too square to be called cool. And yet, that doesn’t …more»19 of 31 people found this review helpful-

Just when you start loving a director for every movie he does you start worrying about weather or not he can keep it up (maybe I'm neurotic that way). Wes Anderson Does a beautiful job with his newest film "The Darjeeling Limited". Quirky …more»7 of 12 people found this review helpful-

In one scene the three brothers go visit their mother in an Indian Christian monestary. They confront her about not going to their fathers funeral and she is exasperated. At one point she says, "let's sit here and see if we can express ourselves …more»6 of 11 people found this review helpful-

"The Darjeeling Limited" is another quirky, dry Wes Anderson film that some people are just not going to like because they're not a fan of his style.
This film is typical Wes Anderson offering in that it asks its audience to be patient …more»10 of 12 people found this review helpful-

I went into "The Darjeeling Limited" with high hopes. Anderson's previous films were all quirky, sentimental fun. His stories and his characters are always engaging. This movie was nowhere near the quality of previous films including "Rushmore" …more»7 of 15 people found this review helpful-

This is the worst movie that I have seen in the past 10 years. I guess it was suppose to be funny,
it wasn't, not even a little bit. The characters were usless, and the plot was missing all together.
You won't care about any of the characters …more»5 of 8 people found this review helpful-

If the Darjeeling Limited's script was submitted by an unknown, it would have found its way into the round file before the second scene was read. This movie is a prime example that with a relative in the business, one can write, fund and produce almost …more»5 of 9 people found this review helpful-

I'm a Wes Anderson fan. But Darjeeling doesn't work. The dialogue largely goes nowhere. He seems to be borrowing on the humor of his earlier films, hoping to get by just on his style and technique. Of course, it looks great, and I thought that …more»15 of 22 people found this review helpful
