If you're going to choose this movie because you want to see a good comedy, you may be disappointed. It IS funny . . .and quirky. But, it's much more about the brothers, the journey and parents.

Trains are always dependable for plot progress. Yet, in true Anderson fashion the story of The Darjeeling Limited gets derailed by characters that are too playful for the constraints of plot.

Such a waste of good talent and location. The whole thing could have been made so much better with the talent and location available to the director. The entire story just drags on without purpose. My suggestion is to avoid at all costs!more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

When you start with an incomprehensible script, it all ends right there, doesn't it? The characters were thin. There was a bizarre and out of context flashback right in the middle that left me wondering if the DVD had skipped a bunch of the movie.

Unless you like imagining yourself in a rickety train for days on end with dysfunctional family members. you can skip this movie.
