The Castle – A review
Soppy (though not quite as soppy as The Dish). A Disney version of an Erskine Caldwell or Faulkner novel. May appeal to the university-educated, but the Limbaugh listener won’t get it.

this is one of the most beloved films in australian culture. it took the box office by storm with its laid back humour and showing the underdog against the big corporate villians.

This film has been lurking which is a pity. While it is not Oscar-bound, it has a freshness which left me enjoying the jokes of the whole thing, including the improbable ending.
