The Cabin in the Woods started as your average slasher movie. Group of teens going to a cabin in the middle of nowhere (how creative). At this point the movie could be considered an OK horror movie.
Towards the end I felt I was just watching the SyFy channel where the producers ran out of ideas an simply started using lots of CGI and blood as a make-up. The ending was even worse and wasn't scary at all. Very disappointing.
