Jodie Foster is a beautiful woman, and I have enjoyed her movies for many years… But in this case she makes tons of cash in this new movie playing a character that purchases a gun for Self-Protection and uses it to shoot bad guys. (and gets away with it) Then, in real life, she calls for a total ban on guns, saying "I don't believe that any gun should be in the hand of a thinking, feeling, and breathing human being,” AND “Americans are by nature filled with rage-slash-fear. And guns are a huge part of our culture.” While she said told variety; “playing this character felt good”, Foster says. "There's something gratifying about holding a 9 millimeter in your pocket," she admits, "to have the power to know that with less calories than it takes to put a candy in your mouth, you can make a decision that says, 'I live, you die.'"

My opinion would be different if she kept her opinions to herself, and didn’t foist them on those around her and to the press… But she does. Other actors play roles they may not agree with, but don’t go around spewing their hypocrisy.

What a hypocrite!!! Jodi Foster taking on this role speaks volumes about her lack of integrity as an actor. She doesn't care about her truth in performance - she's in it for the money, against her very own belief system.

One last comment: By her statements above, does she consider the armed security that guarded her, un-thinking, un-feeling, non-breathing, non-human beings? I wonder if those individuals know just how much distain she hold for them since they have and carry guns.
