After the "sun falls thru the great hole in the sky",and destroys earth many yrs from now,lone survivors fend for themselves in a vast dusty wasteland of wilderness. A black man tries to protect himself,and his sacred good book,from roving white gangs set on his demise. One special woman saves him and his mission as she drives him in a tank out of harms way to the west coast. The scene of a destroyed Golden gate bridge is truly awesome as are the many surprising sepia toned visuals.
The movie is gritty and grimy but worth seeing til the very end when the books of the Bible are re-written verbatim and life begins anew.
Grade C+ for chilling
