A Family-Values Blockbuster

There are many football movies that have graced the silver screen. "Remember the Titans", "Friday Night Lights", "Rudy" just to name a few. However, before The Blind Side, no other movie has imbedded any Christian values into the story.
Led by Acadamy Award Winner (2009)Sandra Bullock and supporting performances by Tim McGraw and Kathy Bates; Blind Side tells a heart warming story of NFL star Michael Orr. But the story begins in Tennesee where a white Christian family takes in a talented black athlete being Michael. Controversy is quicly stirred between the Mrs. Touhy (Bullock)and her well-to-do friends.
While football is only a component of the film, the theme of leaving a life of drugs and gang life to make something of yourself and doing what one was meant to be; in Orr's case Left Tackle. As for the embeded Christian themes they are just supplemental to a true American Tale of family values and the American Dream.
