Synopsis

Gerald Clamson is a bank examiner who loves fishing. One day at the ocean, he happens to reel in injured gangster Syd Valentine. The gangster tells Gerald about some diamonds he had stolen from other gangsters and hands him a map. Gerald heads off to the Hilton Inn in San Diego where supposedly the diamonds are hidden. There he meets Suzie Cartwright, an airline stewardess. While searching for the diamonds, he puts on a silly disguise to help him to stay one step ahead of the gangsters who are on his tail. All the while, he desperately tries to court Suzie.
