The Best Picture Ever Made!!

Wow! This masterpiece tells the story of three returning veterans from World War II and the adjustment back to their civilian lives. Not only do we see how they get back to their former lives, but also the ones they left behind. Even though this takes place after World War II, the message that this masterpiece gives can apply to any war, past or present. Every one in this picture gives in my opinion their finest performances. Actors Fredric March and newcomer Harold Russell deservedly earned their Academy Awards as Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. Also, Mr. Russell was also given a special Academy Award for being an inspiration to all returning veterans. I wished that Dana Andrews could have won a Best Actor Oscar also because he gave his finest acting ever in this movie. All the supporting cast are superb, including Myrna Loy, Virginia Mayo, and especially Teresa Wright and Cathy O'Donnell. The beautiful score and excellent photography only add to this film classic. This movie makes me tear-up every time, especially the closing scene. Powerful!!! Movie Star Bette Davis once said that this was her favorite film. For Miss Davis to give the ultimate compliment after all the classic screen performances she made is remarkable! As the saying goes, they don't make 'em like this anymore!
