Any movie about the man who symbolized the Roaring 20's with not only his larger-than life persona but also is mammoth homerun capabilities should have gotten much more attention paid to it.John Goodman plays a good Babe Ruth,as you actually see how sad this great man's life truly was.

The detail to historical accuracy (uniforms without numbers,stadiums,crowds) was commendable,and it was surely an enjoyable film.The only other flaw was the lack of attention paid to Ruth's former friend and longtime rival Lou Gehrig.

I still would recommend this movie to anyone who is a baseball fan.
