While it won't win an Oscar for Best Picture, as far as this Superhero-Comics-Turned-Motion Picture genre goes, it was perhaps the best one I have ever seen. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars as far as movies in general goes. I didn't expect much going into the viewing, but I was quite surprised to find how well the characters were made to blend together. The script was well-written, and the selective moments of light humor when you least expect it amidst all the continual fast-paced action just made it even better. The best humor came from Iron Man (Downey Jr.) in terms of his quips (e.g., To Hawkeye: "Let's go Legolas!"), and moments with the Hulk (e.g., when he playfully and suddenly punches Thor standing next to him during a silent moment right after just winning a fight, sending him clear across the room out of view....and perhaps the best, most funny-yet-powerful scene in the movie when Loki protests to Hulk: "I am a god. I will not be bullied..." upon which Hulk suddenly just grabs him by the ankles with one hand and proceeds to ragdoll him, swinging and slamming into the ground over and over.) Indeed, as for Hulk, I was also surprised by how well the animation was for the Hulk, as well as how well Bruce Banner was portrayed the actor (Mark ?). The only negatives, fwhich aren't enuf to bring down the movie, are the simply the actor/actress playing Captain America and Black Widow. Just don't think they are best suited to play those characters in my opinion. That's why I can't give the movie 5 stars. But other than that, there is nothing holding this movie back from being a masterpiece as far as this genre goes. I want to see it again, like tommorrow!
