Marvel's The Avengers(2012)- User Reviews

This movie for me, is a dream come true, I am truly a comic book kid. I was around 8 when Marvel was just getting my attention and I was hooked on all the wonderful, flawed heroes.

Spiderman, Thor, Iron Man, fantastic Four, Silver Surfer just to name a few. I read them all, My big brother and I would sell TV Guides that we bought at the store, marked up and went door-to door selling. We were a poor family but mom allowed us to spend all our earnings on comic books. BOY, if i had that collection now, after we read the books, we gave them to the neighborhood kids. They would be waiting at our back door, urging us to READ FASTER!!. And so here we are now and comic books are jumping off the page and are full blown movies...like I said ...a dream come true. I have seen this film twice and I have not been able to contain my amazement of how much it reminds me of reading comic books and in my minds eye, due to the WONDERUL writing of comic books past, " see" the action.

I rate the movie one of the best I have ever seen for 1 reason, they accomplish what is important when reading comic books. "suspension of belief" while watching this amazing movie you never ask the logical question? where the hell was the rest of the world while this was going on? where was spiderman, he lives in new york? NONE of that matters, because while you are in the darkened theatre watching these guys and gals kick some serious bad guy butt, you are rooting, cheering, laughing and yes, even getting a bit teary eyed when they come back and WIN the fight! GREAT script, GREAT CGA action, well done Marvel, Well Done. More please!
