I saw this movie on Netflix and I can understand why critics panned this film. It's that bad, not awful, but bad. I liked Sharlto Copley who played Murdock. He was pretty good and also how Face came up with a plan to deceive the fake Lynch.
Here's the bad news:
Patrick Wilson who played the fake Lynch was terrible. His acting wasn't even interesting like quotes "Awesome!" "Call of Duty!" What kind of acting is that? Seriously! Also, Brian Bloom who played Pike was also terrible as well. The actor, I think his name is Rampage Jackson or whatever who played B.A. Baracus definitely did not fit well. His character has a religion that he can't kill. I hated the fact that the black van didn't have enough screen time. All the black van did was park in the handicapped zone and it gets destroyed. After it gets smashed, B.A. doesn't think about rebuilding it. Also, B.A. wants to beat up his team for putting him in that crate, but he says he can't because they outrank him. In the tv show, I saw how B.A. picked up Murdock and threw him in the ocean and almost hit Hannibal after he was hypnotized by a woman. I didn't like the relationship between Face and Sosa. Also, why is Face telling Sosa that she "mislead" him? What was that about? Sosa was the one who warned him and his team not to go to Baghdad. The A-Team has orders to stay away from Baghdad by General Morrison. So why is the A-Team insists on going? This movie wasn't funny. I don't see how it's funny except for Murdock. While the A-Team were in the tank, is it possible while they're in the air, they can shoot the cannon multiple times which can make the tank move toward the ocean? Next, B.A. lets his teammates drug him, so they can fly together on the plane. Really? In the tv show, B.A. never lets his teammates drug him and take him on a plane because he was afraid of flying when he was growing up as a kid. What's with the CGI buildings and explosions falling on B.A.? Why couldn't the director use real explosions and real sets? I find it hard to believe that Hannibal would shoot B.A. in the arm after hijacking his van. That's not the Hannibal I remember. Hannibal could have just knocked him out with his gun or something. The introduction between those two characters was really dumb. Liam Neeson didn't fit the profile for Hannibal either. How did Tugo know that the A-Team were headed to Murdock's hospital? At the end of each episode, the A-Team would always try to get away from the authorities in their black van but toward the end of the movie, instead of trying to make their getaway, they sit around until the authorities arrived and arresting them. What kind of A-Team are they? Don't they know how to keep a low profile?! Whatever happened to Hannibal always wearing a disguise? Hannibal did not once wear a disguise in this film.
I enjoyed watching the first 4 seasons of the A-Team. I didn't bother watching Season 5 because the storyline was changed and two cast members were added. I was hoping this movie would revive the franchise, but it didn't.
