Ladies and Gentlement... we have "The American Astronaut".
It's not your average space-age musical rock fest with awesome characters and never before seen special effects.
No, this is something different...
Right away the film grabs you with Samual Curtis' rampage through the galaxy until his final decent or rather 'crash spectacular' on Ceres.
Filmed in total black and white, the movie captures the play of shadows (Are there shadows in the universe?), not to mention it makes the characters bigger than life.
One character in particular (my all time fave) is Professor Hess, (played by the magnificent Rocco Sisto). Professor Hess, is Samual Curtis' nemesis, and is constantly on his tail trying to kill him. Why Professor Hess doesn't kill Curtis, is very stange indeed...
Professor Hess is the ultimate villain and Rocco Sisto plays the role to perfection.
With an all original soundtrack performed by The Billy Nayer Show (Cory Mcabee, who plays Samual Cutis is lead singer), this movie Rocks!
Along the way with The American Astronaut we meet, Space aliens with a case of the 'space punies', 'The boy who saw a woman's breast', Samurai chopping singers and 'a girl in a box'.
This will all make sense in the end, and will also explain why you shouldn't have a cat on Venus.
These are my last words...
