This movie was marketed wrong; to the Bourne and Bond fans. This is a meditative and contemplative narrative of a lonely assassin who can't do anything else. There are many subtle clues which requires an intellectual viewing. For example, the female assassin calls Jack, "Mr. Butterfly" which is his code name. How did she know? Was her next target Jack himself? Did Pavel send the Swedes from the get go? That's why Jack gets paranoid when the prostitute calls him "Mr. Butterfly". Also, the ending is ambiguous. Did Jack really die? or just pass out? He go hit in the side abdomen, which is usually not a fatal shot.
