Watching this movie just made me realize how sucky Toby Maguire was as Peter Parker. He was so pathetic and whiny. Andrew Garfield does an excellent job and totally makes this movie. He brings so much more life and charisma to it. You can see why a pretty girl would want to be with him unlike in the original where it seems the only reason Mary Jane would be interested in Peter is because of pity.
The overall story isn't any better than the first one but the acting sure is.
