Before playing the one-armed, lizard-obsessed Dr. Curt Connors, Rhys Ifans first got public attention, at least on this side of the pond, playing Hugh Grant's seriously scruffy roommate in "Notting Hill." Ifans was born in Wales in 1967 and garnered attention early on as a presenter for the Welsh-language quiz show "Stwnsh." After "Notting Hill," Ifans appeared in a string of movies, from "Little Nicky" to "Hannibal Rising" to "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1," in which he played Xenophilius Lovegood. Last year, he starred in "Anonymous," playing the earl of Oxford, who might, or might not, have written Shakespeare's plays. You can also see Ifans in "The Five-Year Engagement" this year opposite Emily Blunt and Jason Segel.
