A great film. One, which due to its length, my wife hates (along with the fact that I watch it over and over again).
The negatives are that, like most films based on books, you can sense that there is a lot more to what is going on between the characters, than comes across on the screen. Despite this lack, the film does have a lot of depth, and lots of pain. The pain of the love triangle does come across, the feeling of being trapped in a world that is full of hippocracy is suffocating. And the end, well the less said about that the better.
