Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn give memorable performances as two opposites who need each other to get out of German occupied East Africa at the outbreak of WWI. This is one of John Huston's best movies. We follow a drunken riverboat captain and an old maid on this adventure. The movie grabs you and pulls you in. You feel as if you are a part of it. The visuals seem primitive compared to today's movies. However, this was high tech in 1951. I highly recommend this classic.
