The Adventures of Tintin is a triumph of visual effects, with enough story and character development to keep you interested to the end. Surprisingly, Jamie Bell's Tintin is not the standout; instead it's Andy Serkis who steals the show as the drunkard Capt Haddock, a man who can't live up to the legacy of his heroic ancestors. His story arc from unrepentant lush to braveheart is highly effective and his chemistry with Tintin feels real.
This set pieces in this film are amazing and the 3D effects are entirely justified. Props to Daniel Craig as a fine, mustache twirling villain.....overall, this is the movie that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull should have been
