When I first heard of this movie, I thought it would be one of those movies I'd never see. But the fact this movie is from the creators of Family Guy just made me want to watch it. And it wasn't terrible, unlike most comedies out there. I think the addition of the creators of Family Guy was great idea; Without them, this probably would've been another one terrible comedy. See, for a comedy to be good, you need an script writer to be a genius with humor. Anyways, the story is that it's 1985 and John, a 10-year old boy, gets a teddy bear for Christmas. John doesn't have many friends, so one night, John wishes that Ted, John's teddy bear, was real and could interact with people. It just so happens that John's wish comes true, and Ted's alive, and seems innocent at first. But time passes, and Ted, 27 years later, lives with John and his girlfriend. The number one thing that people want to know is this: Is the movie funny? Yeah, for the most part. Though, there were some parts where it didn't feel like a comedy or the actors swore too much just because the script writers thought it was humor, but for about 75%-85% of the humor is all-right. The humor is unexpected at times, to funny humor to deranged humor. The acting was very good. Comedies, in my opinion, are all about how the jokes were dished out, and the actors didn't disappoint. Ted is a pretty good comedy. If you're looking for a good R-rated comedy, you might want to consider this. Some people thought that the movie was disgusting and was too drug heavy, but it's rated R for a reason. Though, some of the characters had cheap one-liners, but it's not terrible, and it shouldn't be overlooked.
