Just by the ensemble I could tell what kind of audience this movie was trying to attract. I will admit, I am a huge fan of Michael Mann's 'Heat', a very meticulous and controlled film, so to go from that, it's hard to get swept up into this poor effort.
First of all, with a team that is supposed to be so professional, I shouldn't be able to laugh at the mistakes they make that would cause them to get busted on more than one occasion, e.g. driving to and from their scores in their own personal vehicles, and sticking the member with the freshest criminal record out in the open during the big heist.
Then there was all the slo-mo and over the top cockiness each of them had. In Heat, even the Italian job, the characters are confident without it slapping you across the face.
Do yourself a favor and watch Heat, even if again, along with Ocean's Eleven, The Score, or Heist.
