I'm not sure if Vin Diesel did it on purpose, but he was the only "good" character. The storyline til the end was very good, felt very real. I just hated the literal ending! ******Spoiler*****All the sudden his love interest has a son?! Where did that come from?!***End Spolier*** The other men in the film were how a good deal of men really are out there, how they really think and act, but it is very harsh, and probably hard for many women to WANT to believe. I respect this film and what Vin was trying to show. A good first film.
