State and Main(2000)- User Reviews

This show is based on a Hollywood film crew shooting a movie in the small town of Waterford, Vermont. The filming impacts everyones life from the Mayor all the way down to the old men that sit around talking about the good old days before the fire. I think this film did rather well showing the effect of a big budget film crew in a small town. I'm a huge fan of Ensemble casts and this movie has a great set of them. Philip Seymour Hoffman gives a great performance of a strugling writer who may make his career if this movie succeeds. I recommend this movie to anyone who like character driven plots. I have not ranked this movie in my top 500 or worst 50 movie listings.
