The script is very weak and predictable. The first half of the movie has Pacino and Walken delivering lines in almost slow motion. A few one liners make you smile but no laughs.
The action picks up and sort of breathes a breath of life about two thirds of the way into the movie when Arkin makes his first appearance.
The chemistry between the three characters is wonderful though short lived. Arkin's role is only about fifteen minutes. Then the movie again moves into slow motion.
The ending is a rip-off of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
