Speed Racer(2008)- User Reviews

Speed racer isn't your average movie, its got the cheesy fun, thrill scenes, and open outdoor that would make you fall off the edge of your seat. The story is the typical "bad guy running the show" type plot. But I think the one real thing that gives Speed Racer an edge is the love of a family and the brotherhood between Rex and Speed. Although we know for the fact that movie will never unite Rex and his family, we see the guilt of the father who had to live the fact that he was selfish and still love his son along with his mother. You can say its the art, the visual or the special effects that make the movie fun, but its the family love that I believe makes this movie really special. Its a fun movie, take it as that, don't expect one of those oscar tear jerkers movie.
