Synopsis

America's greatest and most obscure recording studio resided deep in the heart of San Fernando Valley. Sound City was home to a unique, analog console that attracted such artists as Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, Rick Springfield, Tom Petty, Metallica and Nirvana. Directed by musician Dave Grohl, the documentary brings together interviews and performances from musicians who recorded some of rock’s greatest albums at Sound City.
