Mr. Dark, the mysterious proprietor of Dark's Pandemonium Carnival, tempts the residents of a small town with the promise to make their wishes - youth, beauty, health - come true. In exchange, however, they will be chained to his freak show for eternity. Although Mr. Dark is intent on recruiting two young boys from the town, a librarian's choice will either doom or save them all.
