Charlize Theron stood out as Ravenna, the embittered queen who is under a spell herself. The images of the flock of ravens as one of her manifestations reminded me of Francis Ford Coppolla's "Dracula". Nicely done. Some of the other effects were a bit cheesy, but most were convincing. The only other characters I felt "measured up" were the dwarves. Kristen Stewart was a "meh" Snow White and it was hard to see her as Ravenna's equal. Her accent annoyed me switching from American to American trying hard to sound British, which was slightly distracting. A young Kate Beckinsale she is not. The two male heroes, the Huntsman and William, the Duke's son, were not very well developed, despite all the information we had on them. I just never connected with them, even though I wanted to.
