This is not a Bond movie. It is a boring action movie. Great Adele song but so disappointing that SKYFALL ends up being just the name of Bond's family run down ranch in Scotland. Where is the beautiful scenery?? Bond movies always take the viewer on a beautiful exciting tour of the world. It is also coupled with an education on the finer things in life which you enjoy with James on his journey while he saves the world from some megalomaniac. Where was the geographic theme? You only Live Twice: JAPAN; Thunderball: underwater fights off Nassau, Moonraker: Lush rainforests in Brazil and SPACE! SKYFALL: a short dirty explosive train ride in Istanbul and then a dreary ranch in Scotland. This just screams LOW BUDGET! Where are the beautiful women with intriguing tongue in cheek names. I don't even remember the names of the female characters in this one. Where are the exotic weapons and new additions to his well heeled ride, Enough with blowing up MI5 HQ. We saw this back in "The World is not Enought. I still remember it was Mr. King's money that somehow became a bomb ignited by a tie pin.. Casino Royale was great as a prequel to all the bond movies we've seen to date. Quantum of Solace showed us some interesting South America scenery but Skyfall was just 3 hours too long. All Marketing hype and a DOWNFALL after they got your ticket money. This was a straight to DVD production.
