It seems the reviewers either loved or hated the movie....I have no idea why that is, but I intend to have an "opinion" just like everyone else. Bond movies should be fun movies, not much lovey-dovey...Action! Yeh! Humorous points along the way! Yeh!
Decent story line... Believeable characters....
I think that I have seen every Bond movie ever made and enjoyed every last one of them.. Usually only one viewing.

Okay, I just came back from seeing this movie. Forget about expectations.....just go and experience the movie on its own terms. It's thoughtful, intelligent, and well crafted production. If you have an appreciation for graphic art, you will be blow away by the introduction.
They have introduced complexity to the characters, which make the movie more interesting. The scenery is overpoweringly beautiful. Istambul is a beautiful city, but the film focuses on the ancient sections. I hope that at some point in time, someone can use Damascus or some other lovely city of Syria in films. Let's hope we don't don't damage this country. There are so many beautiful historical sites in Syria which few westerners have seen up close and personal. The Turkish and the Syrian people are great people.
