Skyfall(2012)- User Reviews

I had really looked forward to seeing this movie. I have seen the star in a number of movies, including other James Bond. I am pretty sure I have seen every other JB movie.

I guess I should have gotten a clue by the extended introduction. While the JB movies are notorious for these long-winded introductions the Skyfall version made my hit the fastforward button.

Movie starts out ok. Again, should have noticed. Previous JB movies usually have a whopper introductory scene. This was just a drawn-out unbelievable silliness.

As the movie progressed, slowly, the characters started to get their butts in gear awaiting the re-introduction of the main character. But it was still a real temptation to just skip forward again and jump to the next scene.

Once JB is back in the story the plot is so slow I kept walking away to check email, get something to eat, anything rather than sit through this drivel.

At some point I gave up entirely. I kept peeking in every once in while hoping for some reasonable action or believable interactions (yes, I know it's a JB movie) but it was just flat and boring.

Not sure I will ever bother with another JB movie. Kind of sad: end of an era.
