"Skyfall" is brilliant! This is how the story goes: Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

The cast led by Daniel Craig (superb in his third-go-round as James Bond), Javier Bardem (in an interestingly, well-crafted performance as Silva) & Judi Dench (great as M) is brilliant. The directing by Sam Mendes is brilliant. The story & screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade & John Logan is brilliant.

The music by Thomas Newman is brilliant. The cinematography by Roger Deakins is brilliant. The film editing by Stuart Baird is brilliant. The casting by Debbie McWilliams is brilliant. The production design by Dennis Gassner is brilliant. The art direction by Neal Callow, James Foster, Marc Homes, Paul Inglis, Jason Knox-Johnston & Chris Lowe is brilliant. The set decoration by Anna Pinnock, set dressings by James J. Foley & Paul Hearn is brilliant. The costume design by Jany Temime is brilliant. The special effects supervised by Chris Corbould is brilliant. The visual effects supervised by Asregadoo Arundi, Angela Barson, Steven Begg, John Paul Docherty, Hugh Macdonald, Steve Moncur, Jonathan Neill & Edson Williams, coordinated by Genevieve Claire, Jack George, James Grummitt, Lisa Kelly, Sara Khangaroot, Emma Moffat, Holly Price, Michelle Rose, Samantha Townend & Mark Webb is brilliant. The stunts coordinated by Gary Powell & Fatih Ugurlu, fights coordinated by Nicola Berwick is brilliant.

This is another brilliant Bond film in recent memory, ahead of the brilliant "Casino Royale" and definitely much better than the last Bond film, "Quantum Of Solace". This is a well-crafted (well-made, as well), fun and entertaining movie that definitely entertains until the very end. Daniel Craig has definitely solidified critics' and audiences' opinions of him with his superb-crafted performance of James Bond in this new outing. Javier Bardem makes an interesting and terrific villain in Silva with a performance that definitely reminds you of his Oscar-winning performance as villain Anton Chigurh in "No Country For Old Men". Judi Dench also gives a quietly solid performance as M. This is one of the best movies of the holiday season, one of the best action movies of the year and one of the best movies of the year, in general.
