I'm so glad I saw this movie. I had no idea what it was about, but just needed a break after work. Maybe it was fate.

Seven and a half years ago my life was destroyed by a lying, cheating, couldn't care less about me, now ex-wife. I've battled depression ever since, even thinking I was over being depressed but knowing better. I've become reclusive and even driving people away. My two daughters want to see their dad happy, but seem disappointed in me. My basic mantra has been "why try"......"I'll only get hurt"......"I can't trust anyone"......"nobody cares".......and then you factor in how the USA is going down the drain economically and morally, and it all seems hopeless.

But I saw this movie and it made me want to start living again like Patrick. He wanted his old life back and wasn't willing to give a new life a chance. He wasn't willing to realize his old life didn't work and was bad, and that there might be something better for him out there.

The final 15 minutes or so are well worth it. Jerry Maguire-esque. An epiphany of large magnitude. Not only for Patrick and Tiffany, the characters in the movie........but for me also.

Thank you for making this movie. I'm ready to start living again. And I'll keep my eyes out for silver linings and stop longing for what simply wasn't meant to be.
