1. I couldn't feel any sympathy for Bradley Cooper's character until about three quarters of the way. Some critics insist that it is important for the audience to want to root for the main character. However, it takes more talent to play a jerk than a good guy. Perhaps I hated his character, as opposed to I just didn't care about his character. Also, I found enough complexity in the way he played the character.
2. Let's be honest. Any sympathy the audience had for Jennifer Lawrence's character was either because she's gorgeous or she's popular these days. There could have been more depth to the character.
3. The plot isn't so good. SPOILER: (The one problem that stood out the most was how did the Bradley Cooper character all of a sudden changed his attitude about pursuing Tiffany and/or giving up on Nicki?)
4. It's a romantic comedy that tried to be something special and made it about half way there.
