Short review: Well written, well acted, and not stupid.
Longer Review Bradley Cooper does a heck of a job playing a crazy guy obsessed with his ex-wife. Jennifer Lawrence does a heck of a job playing a crazy woman obsessed with dancing, her dead husband, and how she reacted to her husband's death.
It starts out as a dark, a sad look into disruptive family behavior and ends up a warm and funny look at emotional healing. DeNiro plays Cooper's dad, who is every bit as nuts as his son, but who has found a way to channel his crazy into socially acceptable behavior.
Cooper gets out of the mental hospital and lives with his folks, the threat of going back to the hospital hangs ominously over his head. Things go badly for him and out of desperation, his family introduces him to just as crazy Jennifer Lawrence in the hope that somehow they can help each other.
Worth seeing, even for guys.
