I've been an extremely long fan of the games since they were first released here in North America. Yes, I did have some problems with the film. Vincent is not Vincent, and Douglas - just wow. I was not impress. But I've been waiting for this sequel for six years. SIX YEARS.

I also noticed that scenes that were supposed to make this what could have been a 2 hour film, were not IN the film. This was extremely disappointing, but I know they'll be on the DVD release so - what's the problem?

There isn't a problem. There are no messed up made up characters that aren't supposed to be in the franchise introduced to the franchise..RUINING the franchise. (cough Resident Evil films cough) No. It's just Silent Hill.

I thought it was fantastic. Probably because I saw it in 3D. You really have to appreciate all the little detail that went into this film. If you don't you miss the point of the film. It wasn't THAT far off from the game. If you hated this film, did you even play the game? Probably not. Yes there are extreme problem areas, and yes I would have liked to have seen a bit more 'fear' factor in this long awaited sequel, but it was still SILENT HILL.

Pyramid Head has a much more bigger role in this film, and I think what they did to smooth over a lot of information that you didn't get in the game, was fine. It isn't a 10 star rating by any reach of the imagination. But you really don't understand Silent Hill if you hate this film.
