Sidewalks of New York(2001)- User Reviews

artistic, realistic, upbeat

Living in NYC, I've been wanting to see the movie, but it turned out to be much more than I had expected-such a sharp, poignant script, enhanced by the unique pseudo-documentary style. Unlike the regular hollywood type movies, this one doesn't paint a rosy picture, but a realistic portrayal of single people in NYC (or maybe another international, metropolitan city). I feel so much connection with the characters and their experiences, and especially enjoyed the end notes/speeches of all characters. It's very realistic, but never out of hope.
