Shutter Island(2010)- User Reviews

This movie got some of the worst reviews that I have ever seen. I honestly don't "get" why? It was a very good film with lots of symbolism (the dreariness of the island, the rain, the cold) Did not of you have Literature in school? All of those elements are not just found in books but also in movies (good ones, that is). Oh, well in a world where no one knows what a Protagonist and Antagonist is anymore...what can be expected? It was a very good film and although toward the end, I had figured out about Teddy's "secret", I did not expect the ending and felt sympathy for him as he chose to "die a good man"
