For one from the begining the idea is drilled home that the star is a 5 and the object of his affection is a 10 when in reality that seems exaturated which makes the jokes regarding this core idea come accross lukewarm. The main character is skinny, has a airport job, dresses funny, and acts bashful. She is a successful event planner who falls for him. What's never really established during this 2 hour long piece of crap is why she falls for him since they never have any meaningful dialog. There appears to be almost no effort on his part to woo her and she doesn't seem to be very aggressive either. The film just sort of skips over that fact and tells you she likes him a lot. Which makes one ask themselves then what is the point of this movie? I'm not sure there actually is one it comes accross more like someone telling you "do you see that hot blonde over there", she's with that skinny baggage worker. I mean I think the majority of people in the real world would be like yeah o.k. and what happened? The film doesn't ever bother to tell you. The only thing it tells you is he is insecure because he and his friends feels he's a five and she's a ten and they basically drag this conversation on for two hours. I mean in the end it's just a stupid story of a girl who likes him even though he's insecure about his looks which kind of makes me think so what this happens all the time. The fact that they're focusing on this is just irritating. The only unbealivable part was how could characters with this dialog fall in love. The movie gave me the sensation of being forced to listen to a fool stressing how you would be better off if you were confident as he. Because if he were confident from the begining she may not have even liked him as she herself admits she only dated him because he was safe so the film creates it's own paradox. How is she saying he's a ten when she's saying she only liked him because he was safe. Perhaps actual dialog could have fixed this. It's illogical which may make the movie more based in reality than it's trying to allude to. I'm not sure what exactly it's alluding to other then sucking. I felt like I was listening to a girl who wasn't fat saying she was fat for 2 hours which I can't see how it can be perceived as funny. You feel like just saying then go to the gym and shut up. The jokes really suck. I think the screewriters may be partially retarded. F
