Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows(2011)- Trailers

At least they did not cast Sherlock Holmes as a black guy like they did in The Honeymooners and Wild Wild West.

I haven't even seen this movie but anyone that starts their review by stating "Perhaps I'm one of the few people on the planet that actually read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes." is pretty much a pompous fool.

What a sad review. You have to have the brain capacity to comprehend the ingenuity and wit of this amazing film... In this movie, simply sneezing could make you lose track of the entire plot (which is totally there)
This show is the most clever i've seen in quuuiiiitee a while and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as me. :)

Good thing I don't value love and marriage, maybe I'll enjoy this movie like so many others seemed to. I bet your husband really secretly like the movie but is so whipped by you that he had to agree!

If you read the book then you can't really enjoy the movie that much: it's really that stupid. Sherlok Holmes is like Jacky Chang in the Rush Hour on a Halloween Night: jumps here, jumps there, changes dresses, changes gender...But then what else to expect from the movie makers, if American teenagers wouldn't go to see a movie unless everybody jumps like a monkey?

This review is ridiculous, there really is no "review" in there. We found this an excellent movie, one of the more intelligent and well crafted action movies in years! Go see it and form your own opinion, but be forewarned that you will have to use your brain, as the plot is complicated but very good.

A purest great. Thanks for the useless review. Please get with the program this version of Holmes is updated. If people want to see classic Holmes we can watch PBS or read the book. If you are a purest then dont go to these movies. I assume you saw the first movie If you did this movie should not have been a surprise. It drives me crazy when people dont like a movie but they still go and see the next one and then complain as well as play Micky the dunce.

WOW to bad you were impatient because this movie was very good. I thought it was made pretty clear in the first 30 minutes what was at stake. If you had stayed you would have been able to see the sacrifice Holmes makes for his only friend to save the life Watson wanted more than the life he had with Holmes. Was this movie a bit long yes! they could have shaved off about 20 to 30 minutes but this is typical of many movies improper editing. If you could not be bothered to stay and see the entire movie you really cant comment on it.

homoerotic relationship REALLY? I saw it as friendship and nothing more. Holmes was meant to be portrayed as rec-loose who by his sheer brilliance has isolated himself from everyone one but the one person he trusts and ever let in. I see Watson as feeling if he does not care for Holmes who will. I think you missed the point of the friendship. I think most people would be lucky to have a friendship like that. Its the 21st century and I am stunned anyone still thinks that homoerotic relationships are uncomfortable. Its a fact of life and yes I am a normal guy I just don't have any of these outdated hang-ups.

This movie was fantastic and better than the first. What did you not get about the plot? please clarify what was disjointed? this is just you opinion if you not going to provide details that will help a reader make an informed decision.

This movie absolutely was not demeaning to woman and marriage that is just nonsense!! and don't think that the rest of us cant read between the lines regarding your comment (especially to women who value love and marriage between a man and a woman.) because that's just nonsense as well. I agree. I thought the movie was boring. I expected a real mystery, with Sherlock using his brains to solve it. But he used special effects to solve it! Silly.

UGG! stick to watching CSI on CBS if you need everything explained to you. This movie was fantastic. Yes it was complicated but if you stop watching TV shows that treat their viewers like idiots and feel the need to explain everything you will enjoy movies with complex stories.
