Sherlock Holmes(2009)- User Reviews

A great story with lots of twists and turns, a red herring or two, it will keep you on your toes. True it's not the Sherlock Holmes of the books, it's better. Downey is at his best and hits every note to perfection. Action scenes are realistic and believable and for me the slow motion added to the realism. Bombs blow up rooms, not entire buildings. People are bloody and dirty and actually look like they've just been in a fight. While not a comedy there are some very funny moments in the movie, not comic relief, just how real people might behave. This is one I'll be seeing again, not just to catch the clues but to enjoy the fine details of a well crafted work of art.
