If you haven't seen every other Hitchcock movie twice, I'd skip this one. It's a bit lame and the ending had no punch at all. It was a toothless grandma of a thriller. The subplots were much more interesting to watch than the main plot. …more»2 of 3 people found this review helpful-

This is thought to be Hitchcock's best and his personal favorite film. I don't think it's his best,and, after all the excellent films he has made, it probably shouldn't be his favorite. But, it is, and he is the genius here.

That's not too shabby, along with Alfred Hitchcock directing, Dimitri Tiomkin composing the music. Altogether a good production, not as zippy as some other Hitchcock films, but then you wouldn't be as surprised at WHAT HAPPENS next!more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-
