Sex and the City 2(2010)- User Reviews

I am devout Sex and The City fan. I loved the series. It was a girls night for me, my sisters and friends every week it premiered. Then when the first movie came out, it was a dream come true. I, my sisters and friends packed the car and raced to the theater to see this long awaited movie. And it didn't disappoint our hopes of greatness. Everything from the plot, fashion, directing and acting was beyond our positive expectations. We laughed and cried. Loved it!!

Much to our excitement we heard that the second film was in production. Fortunately we were too late to catch it in the theater but watched on DVD and this story lacked by far the humor and appeal that we once enjoyed from the series and first movie. As always, I loved the clothes. But why did they place them in the dessert far from where they could be theirselves....outside of the city and in an uptight, sexist country. The fun and fascinating women that we loved watching before seemed to be gone. I was opposed to Carrie running into her ex there also. It seemed strange, and to me, that plot didn't fit.

At first I believed a sequel to SATC could be achieved but after seeing the second film I change my mind. They're married, raising children and have lot more responsibilities than the former single girls that captivated us in the series and even in the first movie. Let them enjoy their family lives and leave it to the viewers' imagination about the SATC girls' futures.
