This movie does a great job with an unusual but very possible "end of the world" event. They show a range of impacts on society/groups (love the beach party)/couples and individuals. Steve Carell is fanastic.....many close ups of his face show a fantastic range of emotions in a few seconds. Also one of the best performances I've seen from Kira. A tough move to put in a category....one minute your laughing....the next minute close to tearing up. It really gets you thinking about what your own reaction would be to such an event.
