The scenes of the daughter's rites of passage, so misconstrued by her, were funny & heartfelt. Also being a single mom is jumping through hoops juggling peter to pay paul. The scene where the mother is tempted to steal from her boss's safe but was stopped, brings home the real temptation of opportunity.
