Great family movie

I totally disagree with the critics. We missed this movie at the theaters and saw it a few years after its release.
My WHOLE extended family loved it. (Ages 8-65) Everyone I've recommended it to has loved it.
Yes, it's a little sentimental and ties up prettily at the end, but, it's a family movie. Who cares?
Real life is messy; I don't think we need reminders of that in entertainment form.
