Sea of Sand(1962)

A dramatic World War II action adventure about an elite company of soldiers that holds the key to the last great battle of the African offensive. They were known as the Long Range Desert Group, a small band of British commandos with a deadly mission, who find Rommel's fuel supply and blow it up. Sir Richard Attenborough portrays the hard-nosed leader at war with the Nazi's, the forbidding terrain and a fellow officer. Tempers are running hot by the time they reach the depot, but when they discover a hidden fleet of tanks capable of destroying the entire Allied forces, the mission explodes out of control. Now the patrol is running not only to save themselves, but the rest of the Eighth Army camped at a little known spot on the map called El Alamein.
